Description: Prior to the use of the 3D view a setup had to be performed. For the setup simply draw a cross-section view of your technology in a separate cell/library and press the setup 3D button. All required information is extracted from the crosssection. Then select your cell and active one of the render functions. An advanced 3D rendering is possible via the macro interface. There are also macros ship with the LayoutEditor which do the setup for standard printed circuit board and for the openCellLibrary.

Render All

Render Select

Description: Prior to the use of the 3D view a setup had to be performed. (Setup 3D) The render select function will once render all selected elements in the current cell.
Auto Render

Description: Prior to the use of the 3D view a setup had to be performed. (Setup 3D) The auto render function will render every time you change the view in the drawing.
Render Off
- Icon:

Description: The 3D view window will be closed.
Export 3D
- Icon:
- Menulocation: Utilities/3D View/Export 3D
- Toolbar: 3D View
Description: The 3D View data will be saved to disk. The current screenshot can be saved in common pixel graphic formats or a 3D CAD data will be save in common CAD formats.
DXF 3D specific notes: - The 3D data will be saved as a flat design without hierarchy. - The userunits are used for the DXF units. - It is used a left hand coordinatesystem. - The 3d data is saved as "3DFACE" entries.
Rotate X Axis
- Icon:

Description: The 3D View will be rotated on the x axis. click left button and move to rotate.
Rotate Y Axis
- Icon:
- Toolbar: 3D View
Description: The 3D View will be rotated on the y axis. click left button and move to rotate.
Rotate Z Axis
- Icon:
- Toolbar: 3D View
Description: The 3D View will be rotated on the z axis. click left button and move to rotate.
Save 3D Setup
- Icon:
- Menulocation: Utilities/3D View
Description: A macro is generated, which will restore the actual 3D view setup.
